Grilled Corn on the Cob

Grilled Corn

This is a recipe for grilled corn on the cob in foil!

My last post today is about grilled corn because it should be a staple at every Labor Day BBQ.

Last week I posted on Facebook about corn. Many people either like to grill it or want to learn how. I will admit that grilled corn is not a staple in our house and I just grilled it for the first time EVER. It was a little scary. I tried it a few different ways, from in the husk to cobs directly on the grill to cobs in foil on the grill. I learned one important trick: to soak your corn in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling. After all, you don’t want to have your corn go up in a blaze! My personal favorite is in foil. Surprise, surprise. What’s your favorite grilling method?

Whatever method you choose, you’ll definitely get a yummy piece of corn that has an extra punch of flavor from the grill. My hope this that this labor day, you’ll be brave like me and give this a try! It was really great! Enjoy!

Grilled Corn in Foil

Ingredients:

  • ½ to 1 tbs. butter per cob
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat grill to Med-high
  2. Lay a cleaned piece of corn on a piece of heavy-duty foil. If you don’t have heavy duty, use a few pieces.
  3. Rub butter; yes, real butter not the fake stuff all over the surface of the corn.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Securely seal the foil on both ends and the top. You will have to turn the corn during cooking and don’t want the butter to leak out.
  6. Place on grill and turn every 5 minutes for about 20 minutes.
  7. Be careful when opening, they will be steamy and oh so yummy!
